I have written or (co-)edited a number of books, most of which had to do with clinical research, HIV/AIDS, and drug research and development. My main current research focus is on the 10/90 gap in international health research and the question of who is responsible for ensuring that sufficient funds are provided to close this gap.

Other areas of research interest remain infectious disease control and public health issues. I have most recently co-edited a popular volume on atheist thought so I am probably reasonably versatile as far as my academic work is concerned. I have published in excess of 100 contributions to peer reviewed journals and books.
